Everybody Knows..... was one of the earliest Chris Barber compact discs. It was released in 1985, and consisted of a compilation of tracks from several Barber vinyl LPs of the 1970s, such as The Great Reunion Concert, Get Rolling, and Sideways. The band was quite "tight" in terms of arrangements during this period, and was also very stable with respect to personnel. I've chosen "London Blues" (originally released on Get Rolling) as a good example of the early-1970s Barber sound: a well-structured but still swinging performance of a jazz classic.
