Bert Brandsma is a well-known Dutch reedman who is versatile on all saxes and the clarinet but specializes, in his own band, The Dixieland Crackerjacks, on bass sax. Over the past couple of years he has subbed frequently with the Big Chris Barber Band, and then -- following the departure in 2012 of David Horniblow -- Bert was invited to become a full-time member of the band.
